Practical Family Support, Together
When a young person is having a hard time, the whole family can feel it. LBC offers practical, mobile support at home, at school by agreement, and in the community. We work alongside young people and families, respecting their strengths, preferences and pace.
Understanding everyday challenges: Together we explore difficult moments, including sensory needs, communication, routines and changes, and consider practical adjustments.
Family routines and strategies: We develop manageable routines, clear expectations and supportive ways to communicate, shaped around your family’s goals.
Making everyday spaces easier: We consider noise, lighting, crowded schedules and demands, and explore changes that may help your young person feel more comfortable.
Skills and co-regulation: Through activities your young person enjoys, we practise noticing body cues, asking for help, communicating needs and building everyday independence. Activities may include basketball, nature, plant propagation, art and crafts, with suitability and safety discussed beforehand.
Working together: With appropriate consent, Leigh can collaborate with family members, educators and others involved in support.
LBC provides practical mentoring and family guidance. This service does not include diagnosis, specialist NDIS behaviour support plans or authorisation of restrictive practices.
