Privacy Policy
LBC Youth & Behaviour Support Services is operated by Leigh Black, sole trader (ABN 64 702 424 153). We respect the privacy of young people, families and others who contact us.
What we collect
We collect contact details, proposed mobile meeting locations and preferred times when you enquire. If we agree to provide support, we may also collect relevant goals, health and safety needs, emergency contacts, consent, service agreements, NDIS and billing details, session notes, feedback and complaints. Please leave detailed medical information out of a first appointment request.
How we use and share it
We use information to respond, assess safe and suitable support, arrange appointments, deliver agreed services, keep records, communicate, invoice and meet legal and safety obligations. We consider a young person's age, understanding and wishes alongside their parent or guardian. With appropriate consent or another lawful basis, we may share relevant details with people involved in their support. Safety or child protection duties may require disclosure. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and security
Wix hosts our website, appointment requests and intake form, and Wix Bookings may hold appointment details. Wix may store, process and back up form information in countries outside Australia. LBC also uses Fresha for appointments and email for communications. Relevant records may be kept electronically with an overnight external-drive backup; paper records are kept in locked storage. Access is limited to those who need it. Booking, email and payment providers may also process information overseas.
How long we keep your information
LBC retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, provide support, and meet applicable legal, professional and record-keeping obligations.
Enquiries that do not lead to services are reviewed and securely deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Client support records have separate retention periods, taking account of the client’s age, the services provided and applicable requirements.
Records relevant to complaints, incidents, safeguarding concerns or legal proceedings may need to be retained longer. When information is no longer needed and retention is not required, LBC takes reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it, including copies held in backups and third-party systems.
Access and concerns
You may request access to or correction of your information, subject to law and others' rights. We may verify your identity. Contact Leigh at lbcsupports@gmail.com or 0422 439 484 with a question or complaint. If unresolved, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
